So, hi. You may be noticing some kind of post right here. Yes, right here. Our band's name is satellitefanclub-- yet, this phase of the story is finding it's way to surface. Let me reintroduce. We are (The) satellite fanclub. And you may know us because a mutual friend introduced you, big piece of kindness and joy, into us. Dramaticly, as it should be. Well, I was saying that we, the band, are writing this, but actually, this is runned by myself, yuu from satellite fanclub. Should've putted the name 'satellitefanclub' instead of 'yuu_not_you', right? Also, frick.
I'm trying to show off. Indentation is new to me here in Blogger. Showing off my big bad skills as a writer (that i'm really not and I want to improve for better). Should've known better.
Now, did you expect me to come and say something about the band? Well, you're right.
satellitefanclub started with an idea that i've had in my mind when I was 15 years old, and the year was 2020. You know, listening to Nirvana, the grunge scene, Alternative Rock, etc. I started this idea with a friend. She was also into alternative stuff, and we were really good friends at the time. She'll be known as 'P', from now on. Yeah, this band had another name by the time. I'm going to keep that name in my head for now, just in case the label I'm on at the time (future), gets heavy and I needed a name for a new band. I shouldn't be writing this, no-no.
So, as I was saying, She and I were really good friends. Eventually she stopped talking and we were no longer friends, and with that, the recruitment process for people who knew how to play an instrument or sang began from the first half of 2022 until the end of that same year, when a person, who in this case will be called 'T', was interested in my offer and got involved as a guitarist. Right now, it's just 'T' and me. I can play guitar, keyboards, and sing very little (I have to say in my defense: No, I do not know how to sing properly. Let's say my singing voice is an attempt of singing. Other people around me tells me all the time I sing very good, but, indeed, I am a perfectionist).
I think it's appropriate to say that this band was formed in honor of one of my favorite bands as an individual, supercell. Personally, I must say that supercell, Supercar, Base Ball Bear, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, The Pillows, Tommyheavenly6 and EGOIST are my favorite Japanese bands, but supercell takes them all ahead if it comes to innovation in music, I mean, who the hell comes up with putting a piano instead of a lead guitar in a song? Huh?! I admire ryo as a musician, because he has transcended to levels that who can think of reaching? Of course, I discovered supercell because of Bakemonogatari (NISIOISIN, VOFAN) and his song Kimino Shiranai Monogatari. I want to make a song or an LP like that, that amount of nostalgia that hits you in the heart like an injection of adrenaline but lowering 3 tones, I don't know, it's great, and that's what I know for the moment. And like the so-called song, Sayonara-Nostalgia by Base Ball Bear brings different elements that make you listen to it from head to toe, like any other of Yusuke Koide's songs. Basically, I'm a fan (not obsessive) of these bands. I have a wider repertoire in music, however I will be telling that along the way. I do have American and British influences, like The Strokes, Placebo, The Smiths, nine inch nails, Lovejoy, blink-182, Box Car Racer, The Cure, Muse, Sonic Youth, Deftones, Car Seat Headrest, Paramore, etc.
This image comes from a game. It's not very old from my perspective, and if it is, then I'm already old. If you know where it comes from, you earn a mental hug, 'k? (jk, you don't)
At the moment we are looking for drummer, rhythm guitarist, bassist and someone to sing the choirs. Or at least someone who could sing better than myself. Not that I have a big ego. For now, I know I'm not going to sing while playing keyboard, or guitar, like Gerard Way did with the guitar in MCR, so yes, someone playing the keyboard would be great too.
The name of the band comes from Kimino Shiranai Monogatari and his references to Bakemonogatari and the stars, the constellations. You could say that we are fans of the stars, the satellites. Although, the word Satellite came from Namikaze Satellite, by Snowkel, while Fanclub comes from the album of the same name by Asian Kung-Fu Generation. I couldn't do better than put the two words together and said, "Okay, this is great."
We will not be regularly making posts because our almost zero social life occupies a lot of us, so, if someone discovers this Blog to date, 2022.11.25, wait for more posts. Also, if you do want to translate this, you could. Don't ask me why I wrote this "Translation" line.
Standby. For you, this is yuu.
