maaaaaaan, I really want to get some music out
Hi. I'll try this again: We're (still) satellitefanclub. The members are Osaka Yuu. That's it.
(...)
"Wait, is that it? For real?"
Yes. Indeed it is. Things have been a little messy since last year's post on this place. But we (I) assure you, we're not dunn yet. It has been a shit year for us all. Because of that, I suggested that we go our separate ways for now. We didn't had that much time (IN A YEAR) to rehearse, so of course, we had to think everything again and get out if we wanted to live while going to college. Y-Yeah, too much, as always. Despite all of this, what I've said and everything, we're still friends. That's cool.
So, yeah. Pretty much that. I've been doing some demos for, what? Half a year? Yeah, maybe. I've been trying to get those demos out in the wild for some producers to just pick them up, but as I said, this has been such a messy year. Whatever. Thing is, our (my) sound is decided! Kinda.
And, to explain how the sound was decided, we need to go back to February 2025.
So, the main reason on why satellitefncl has been like a cabaret, (people going in & out or whatever) is because we couldn't get to decide on what was going to be our sound, as a band. I thought of The Police when assembling this band, because there were so much people in, and everyone liked something that either wasn't much of our interest, or was of out interest and was close to what we liked, but didn't had enough time or patience to figure it out. Everyone was so busy with them own affairs and agenda (college, work, and everything), and it wasn't giving some kinda fruit out of this tree that was this band, so everyone left. Pretty much, 2 members out of 4. Then, Syrus (we'll know him as Silva from now on), as a forced bassist, and Jose, one of the best drummers on university, decided to regroup in satellitefncl as a three-piece. It was cool, kinda. But as always, it didn't last long enough to get something out of us. The coda on all of this is written on the first paragraph of this entry. Yeah. Long story short, this band is what Straightener, Number Girl, ART-SCHOOL and syrup16g were doing at the start of the 21st century, J-Rock, but not like that.
I said J-Rock, but there is foreign stuff in the mix. Alternative Rock, you'd say.
What do I mean? Elements of Garage Rock Revival, Post-Punk Revival, Post-Grunge, Indie Rock, and a little bit of DIY Electronics, synths (as in microKORG) and little tips of J-Pop melodies, back and forth with that one, okay?
Uhm... Yeah. What else am I supposed to say as of now?
Well. I guess I can give you details on music and demos and whatever else.
The album is called obnuleniye.
It contains (theoretically) 8 to 10 songs. 2 of them may be instrumentals. There is also a cover. It could be from Joy Division, Feeder, or Weezer.
In case the album can't be done in time, there will be an EP coming out. The name would be "intake / keep drinking water", and it would contain at least 4 songs, 1 of which can be a cover, also. 2 of these songs are really, REALLY old songs from the archive (never finished them lmao).
(I'm not sure when, or how it's going to be released, because it's December 2025 as of now and everyone is either drunk or working their ass off in order to study next semester. I hope I can pull this off, this recruiting members and trying to get music out is killing me insideeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)
This is everything I have to say for now. If I were to write here again, it'll be for you people to click a link to Soundcloud or Bandcamp and listen to our music! (If and only IF we don't die as a project.)
Ah, I forgot. Soundcloud and Bandcamp (as well as Youtube) will be our platforms for releasing music. Spotify and other platforms are meant to squeeze every single penny from us artists, giving money for them to release our stuff, and taking 0 cents from whatever people may stream from us. Who knows? Maybe when we're even more famous (we are because it has been so long since satfncl started and there isn't any songs here lmfao), we will get our songs on spotify, apple music and what not. The root of all, is money. WE NEED MONEY TO PAY FOR REHEARSALS, PRODUCING AND MASTERING STUFF! WE AREN'T YOUR LOCAL "UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP" OR "SONY MUSIC"! MAAAAAAAAAAAAAN I REALLY WANT TO GET SOME MUSIC OUTTA HERE!
As always, thanks for reading.
Osaka Yuu out
